Avantages

Talent, resources and most importantly, the products, to make the work meaningful, rewarding and challenging. Pfizer does offer significant development training opportunities, for those with ambition to secure and pursue. We typically always have a seat at the table for important negotiations with customers. Great leadership for the most part.

Inconvénients

It may be a harsh truth, but people are disposable. Pfizer tends to take this to a point where we are just numbers and not people. Certainly not family. Truly caring for your people is a way to improve the culture to a point where everyone WANTS to work harder, do more and succeed. This is most evident in our R&D group, but even Sales and Marketing. Years of layoffs and restructures have taken a toll.

Avantages

A good amount of remote monitoring, which depending on how you view can be a positive.

Inconvénients

Changing systems and inconsistent standards are applied to people. There are many differing models that often muddy how you are supposed to do your job, especially when other staff members don't quite understand. How do you interface with the changing models? There tends to be a lot of blame and foisting of responsibilities. Sometimes you can become overburdened with a lot of work, where people do not respect your time and think that their tasks should take priority. It is possible to be contacted late at night with work to do and then be criticized the next day for not being able to keep up.
