Avantages

There are zero pros for this company. I have never disliked a company so much. It's not about following the rules. It's about kissing up to management.

Inconvénients

Management sucks. The corporate people roll in to town and have no clue what is going on. It's a complete joke. They don't appreciate hardworking employees and fire the people in HR that care about the employees they are all about the money and it's very obvious.

Avantages

As an HR Director, I’ve had meaningful opportunities to partner closely with leadership and influence decisions that shape the employee experience. HR is viewed as a strategic function, and the work goes well beyond transactional support. There is real ownership, trust, and visibility, especially during periods of growth and change. The organization is filled with thoughtful, capable people who care about the work and about improving how we operate. There’s room to build, refine, and modernize processes, and leaders are receptive to feedback and continuous improvement.

Inconvénients

The pace can be fast at times, and priorities can shift as the business evolves. Like many growing organizations, this can create moments of ambiguity that require flexibility and resilience.

Avantages

When i started at pearl it was smaller and ran by Merry Korn. A very lovely lady and had good benefits always trying to look out for all employees including those with disabilities (like myself). I was able to work from home and the jobs were too terrible to deal with and I could always keep an eye out for a better contract if I found myself wanting something new.

Inconvénients

After Mario's purchase of the company things quickly went down hill, though they had started before then. Policies changed without notice, benefits were cut, and the Medical insurance wasn't actually insurance. It was an indemnity plan that wasn't covered by any doctors with a 5,000 deductible. Even through all the changes I stayed with the company believing in Mary's mission. After all they were the ones to take a chance on me so I wanted to do my very best for the company. I met all my quotas and statistics often exceeding them. I was often told how amazing I was as an employee and how I was first in line to become a supervisor if a spot came open. Then they removed me from employment over a supposed "policy violation" the policy they referenced had nothing to do with what was happening. And I had been under the impression that I was following all the rules. The company used me in promotional material for my story and disability. I helped them get contracts and I was terminated... Just like that. Pearl isn't what it used to be, the heart of the company left with Mary. It's a shame to see how things had gone.
