Dust and debris raining down near the box making machines caused breathing issues for me. Had chronic sinus infections due to the dusty environment from corrugate dust kicking up when operations are happening. You will blow your nose after a shift and have black mucus from dust. The machines are open top so the dust will coat everything around you. Masks did not help. Most of the work environments are not climate controlled. Very hot in the Summer, very cold in the Winter. Business partners are the number one priority, so they will make decisions that you cannot control as an engineer or manager. You will need to roll with the changes and keep it pushing, regardless of feedback. Pushback on changes are very difficult to voice, in fear of losing out on partnerships/ contracts. They can cut you out of the equation at any point as well. Sadly, as good as Packsize is, their bread and butter is corrugate sales, so the engineering teams tend to be on the back burner of priority. Only because of the contract based relationships. Nothing you can do about that. Not their fault. It's just apart of their business dynamics.
