Hybrid work environment, standing work desks, amazing benefits negotiated by the union.

Inconvénients

Toxic Management Style (from the top down) that is not receptive to feedback/input, micromanages, and is decision-adverse. As a result, the work is not innovative.

Avantages

Easy work, staff that is pleasant to work with.

Inconvénients

Gave me the toughest work. Frequently cut hours. Manager nickels and dimes your shifts to cut your pay. Promised additional training. Dangled a promotion over me so that I would take the most difficult work but then gave it to slackers.

Avantages

You learn about how to do front-line work and contributing to catering. Some slow periods during summer and works exactly like a University for busy periods in terms of predicting shifts. Positive and casual environment with a mix of full-timers, part-timers, and work-study students from York University.

Inconvénients

Manager lacked the knowledge and consideration to other employees when getting customers to use facilities. The manager does not understand the effort, resources and time required for employees to flip rooms for different events unfortunately.
