Avantages
They just got acquired recently so new management and that could fire things up. So take my "cons" with a grain of salt. But research how long the managers you talk to have been with the company. If they are carry-overs from before the acquisition, buyer beware. I hear their support organization has good management. I didn't work in that arena, but I hear it is good to work for.
Inconvénients
Absolutely no direction for years and they let product quality decline while never getting a good feel on the market place. New technologies/products were poorly managed and I saw many of them fail. The unfortunate thing is that upper management would always try to hype up the new products being developed within the Openwave organization. Because it was always hype, employee morale declined substantially and there was an immense amount of "brain drain".
