Avantages
Good health insurance, good product, “flexible PTO”
Inconvénients
The company overall had everything to be the best, but management on the LATAM team proved to be unprepared to effectively onboard and train new employees. Expectations that were set during the interview process were not honored. Despite being expected to work in three languages, any minor mistakes made during the training process were met with indignation. Asking questions was actively discouraged. Requests for support were laughed at or ignored and heavily judged. Despite making steady improvement over the course of a few months, the only feedback that I was given was strongly negative, and often arbitrary (from minor grammatical mistakes in Spanish, a language which they never tested or required a specific level of proficiency during the interview process, to subjective). Goals were not specific, and I was only ever told that I was not meeting them, without knowing what I was specifically working toward. This was consistent and in fact grew worse each week over the course of my time at Reify Health. This created a situation in which it was impossible to learn and grow. I suggest that the managers at this organization be trained in modern leadership and effective feedback practices. The company (LATAM management), was also not supportive when I requested time to spend with my sick family member while he recovered from major surgery, or when I got COVID. I was put on a performance improvement plan due to my “poor performance” specifically during the week that my family and I were ill with COVID. Overall, there was a shocking lack of empathy and leadership skills on the part of the management for this team.
