Avantages

When you work for One Legacy you have the opportunity to help families when they’re going through the worst moments in their life. It’s an amazing experience to be able to help someone during this time. The field staff are amazing and they have one of the hardest jobs in the world. If the corporate office understood this, staff would stay longer.

Inconvénients

Working at One Legacy used to be amazing. That all stopped a few years ago when they hired someone ruined the lives of many PTCs and he is the reason for the mass exodus that has occurred since he started working there. This person would promise the PTCs that they cared. But during management meetings he would say that he hated when PTCs complain about work life balance. Management also built a group of supervisors around him that made things uncomfortable for women to be around due to their sexiest and racist jokes. One legacy is having a horrible staffing problem and they are unable to serve the needs of the donor families. Many times I overheard staff at the corporate office say “thank God we didn’t get consent! We have no one to cover!” They will also send inexperienced staff to manage a donor until a PTC can arrive.

What ARENT the cons other than benefits? The ceo is the most selfish man you’ll ever meet- money hungry to the point where it’s almost inhumane. Example- we get punished for having meal premiums, but we are forced to waive them even though we had to work past the legal lunch time. The culture is “them” vs “us”- the money circulates only amongst the execs. They punish staff by saying no bonus, we didn’t reach numbers, get more donors get more donors, but expect that we have control over lives. No bonus. No rewards. Just work work work. And then when you do, you get punished. Work life balance? What’s that? You are married to this job or you’re unsuccessful. Everyone is walking around miserable. Even the execs. Don’t work here.
