Inconvénients
The pay is extremely low especially after taking away salary. I have found myself in a situation where I had to choose between seeing a doctor or being able to afford groceries that week. They really should be giving trainers a base salary plus commission. The standard of living is way too high to survive on a low commission rate.
The benefits were also terrible. You don't make enough to have a 401K so don't get your hopes up for that. The insurance was bad and I only received 10 days of PTO per year that I couldn't take because I was afraid to lose the money I would have made off of commission (which was more than I would have received if I had used my PTO). They don't seem to care about the well-being of their employees.
Equipment breaks often and does not get fixed quickly. The AC has been out in my gym for 2 months and they seem to be twiddling their thumbs. Members complain daily about it.
