This is a workplace about fitting in first and foremost. I will say if you think you will come in and perform super well only and think it will get you far…it won’t. Or at least it will only go so far. Nepotism and politics rule the roost. Expect a PIP if your management finds a fault with you (mostly say what they want types so I guarantee they will) watching football and MeTV to fit in with the older coworkers seems to be the strategy to keeping your job and advancing? I have no idea. WFH is also apparently a foreign concept here unless you’re an IT worker. I don’t even know. Higher ups WFH anytime they want, everyone else…sucks to be you.
