Avantages

Compensation is decent. Great people to work with as long as they're not in Sunnyvale. Free coffee, bagels & cookies and Beer Bash.

Inconvénients

Silos. Also, lots of lip service without accompanying actions/improvements. Many upper managers in Sunnyvale are arrogant and incompetent and do not comprehend the most basic good business and leadership practices. They spend most of their time trying to justify their positions and posturing. Company has been heading southwards since 2011 too. Not sure how much longer they'll be around. I was never impressed with George Kurian. Never seemed to have an original idea or plan of his own. Always seemed like someone else was pulling the strings.

Avantages

Amongst the top companies in the data storage industry = company stability.

Inconvénients

If you'd ask me a year or 2 ago, I would have given the company 5 stars. But, as with most tech companies now, they've started to follow the trend of return to office, regardless of logic. There's little to no room for exceptions and the company would rather sacrifice productivity regardless if they know the hardships for people living in metros (one way commute to the NY or SJC office can take 2 hours one way!) - that and there's no commuter benefits. You have to pay out of pocket and live in fear of not receiving your bonus if you miss the "thrive together" quarterly requirements.
