Avantages
- If you're a good performer you will have a lot of freedom to make your work hours and live an awesome life outside of work. - I love working with my Hiring Managers. ALL the managers I have hired with over the years have been outstanding leaders. - I get to be myself and I feel understood - I get to focus on the part of my job that is my actual job, we are a little siloed but in a good way, a way that makes sense where there is flexiblity between roles and responsibility, but not so much red tape that you cant move quickly. - I feel good at hiring people into netapp and that makes my job a lot easier.
Inconvénients
For me, the above is much more important than the negatives im about to list, all companies have negatives, it depends on whats important to you, to me, I can deal with these things because work life balance is a trade off for me: - There are a lot of people that can see the big picture of what we're trying to achieve, but they have no idea how to get there. They know the goal, but they cant conceptualize how to break it down to get it done. They dont think about all the things that go into making a decision, they just make decisions and partially roll out a solution thats not even a solution, its a band aid. - We are too broad, we are too ambiguous with everything. We need hard lines, workflows, we need to hire people that can think strategically and be diplomatic. We hire too many leaders that dont want to get their hands dirty, and be in the thick of things. - Our systems suck, I know theres work going on in the back and and we need some massive transformations but please get rid of SAP, make our systems more streamlined and focused, simple. - Processes: We're super horrible at rolling out processes between orgs because of our systems, we have to remember one off changes for this and that and everything seems to be like a "one off situation" because of it. - Information sharing is a big problem because of our systems, I want to see more dashboards on company performance sales wins, I want to celebrate NetApp more and want more visibility into what deals close so we can give kudos and thank our sales people, stuff like that, fun stuff. I wish we had slack, its so collaborative, more groups so we can find people at netapp with common interests, fun stuff.
