Avantages

NBC Universal has a lot going on with it's network, cable, local media and film divisions, and it's reasonably easy to move into new positions provided you have performed well in your previous role. There's something energizing about working at 30 Rock although the other offices in Manhattan can be pretty depressing. As far as media conglomerates go, NBC is as open to change as any, but that's compared to a peer group that has been virtually stagnant for the better part of this decade. Overall, a decent place to work for a few years, get some name brand experience, and then leave.

Inconvénients

The management team at NBC Universal is old and acts old. This is a major problem considering the current state of the industry and the dire need to rapidly transform the business. There are too many management positions and not enough arms and legs to do the real work. The company also suffers from being incredibly indecisive and can take forever to make decisions. This is largely because there are so many layers of management but only a few people who are authorized to make decisions. While there are certainly some smart and capable workers at NBC, the company also really struggles to hire smart, young people, which is unacceptable considering the brand cache of NGBC.

Avantages

Great perks and benefits! Free theme park tickets, cable, peacock subscription. Good place for interns

Inconvénients

Entry level pay is very poor and not sustainable. Lot of politics when it comes to promotions and it is based more on relationship with management rather than actual performance. Upper management just takes all your work and presents as their own. Fake it till you make is at every level of this organization. Hired people as remote and now is laying everyone off.
