Avantages

It's a pretty small company and everyone knows everyone else. There are benefits like free books, company parties and picnics, and a decent vacation policy.

Inconvénients

They do not listen at all to the people who actually do the work. There are only 4 or 5 people in the company who are actually listened to. Unfortunately those people don't understand how the system works, how the customers think, or how the end users are buying. Those 4 or 5 people also commit a low level fraud by raising their prices to the customer and then telling them they get a percentage off. So not the most ethical company. If you have any problems at the job, don't expect HR to help, they only look out for the company and the higher ups. The medical and dental coverages are OK, but not great. Do not come down with a chronic illness or you will be in the poor house. The other benefits do make the package a little more tolerable. Thanks to e-book readers and iPads the book industry is slowly drying up and they are scrambling for new revenue lines. Most of the senior management though do not have or have ever had kids in college and do not really understand what the kids are buying. This is causing not only a tension filled work environment, but a place where people are always looking for someone else to blame when things don't work out like they hope.
