Avantages
I love the team - just a small group of people who've done impressive, hard things in their careers, are highly committed & collaborative, and willing to help you out. I feel like I'm always learning something new and becoming a better engineer (a much larger amount, and at a much faster rate, than I was when I was at a big company). Also really appreciate having founders who are repeat entrepreneurs and know how to navigate the challenges and pitfalls of starting something from the ground up (fundraising, early sales, hiring, etc.) And we're working on a super hard problem that's both very intellectually interesting & very valuable to our customers!! So I also get a lot of joy out the work being interesting, and actually useful to people.
Inconvénients
We're remote-first, which may not be for everyone (although the Bay Area folks currently work in-person 1x a week). We're also early - obviously you won't find FAANG/big co levels of structure & stability - your mileage may vary.
