Avantages

Company has a very laid-back feel, but there is also lots of activity to accomplish tasks on hand. Not a lot of rules that stifle innovation, prohibit employees from taking ownership or helping one another. I think the most compelling reason to consider Microchip is the culture and people, not to mention they have a great business model. People are treated with respect and dignity. They are careful in their hiring and as a result they're able to maintain a culture where people help each other. It's not a competition between employees, but rather a competition to help each other produce the best-in-class products. Also this is the FIRST tech company I've ever heard of that truly models it's company Values. It's amazing!! What also makes it's a great place his how they conduct business. They don't overspend or over-hire. As a result, when the market hits a bumpy cycle they are in a strong position to keep all their employees and ride out the storm. That's a testament to the company’s leadership and strategy for success.

Inconvénients

I struggled with this one, but if I had to say something…… some of the technology can be a little dated. But I think this is also a plus to maintain fiscal restraint.

Avantages

There are a handful of people here who are fantastic to work with, are very knowledgeable, and care about the product that's going out the door.

Inconvénients

Leadership is fundamentally out of touch and appears indifferent to employee well-being. The culture is marred by nepotism and a lack of accountability, where 'guiding values' are preached but never practiced. Feedback is discouraged, and those who speak up are often targeted. Expect a 'reward' of more work for the same pay, as promotions are rare and promised bonuses are frequently withheld despite strong site performance. A very frustrating and toxic environment for those who value merit and transparency.
