Avantages

- Luxury of using the latest tech without fear of breaking something in production - Frequent drinking session from ~4pm till late night - Fridge full of Cola, lots of booze of all kinds - CTO is really good at telling highly sophisticated nonsense to investors, so there are little to no concerns about future funding

Inconvénients

- Double standards in most situations - CTO, his family and friends (that form majority of employees of this small start-up) doing whatever they want to, while everyone else has much stricter rules than a typical corporate environment and is considered inferior - No-one from the latter group was allowed to work from home, even during the COVID pandemic, ones who insisted were fired - Everyone is expected to work over normal hours - Generally no trust to employees - Lack of transparency - Despite looking greenfield there's lots of existing business logic that no one understands (or cares to understand), de-facto zero education given - be ready to start from scratch and be blamed for all the missing pieces later. Regular unexpected changes of requirements included. - Zero management feedback - Really good developers don't stay for long - Teamwork is not only absent but actively discouraged on all levels - Consequently, most won't share any advice (best case) or suggest something deliberately wrong. Blaming individuals and ignoring their opinion is facilitated top-down. - CTO is an infantile, narcissistic tsar who only seems to be interested in drinking and building a cryptomining-proof data centre in the office. Be ready to giggle to his passive-aggressive "humour" during parties. Being a Microsoft fanboy doesn't help business either. - Terrible office conditions - constant (mandatory) loud music. Headphones help a bit but be ready to get exposed to EDM/100bpm+ pop at all times. Mechanical keyboards, constant NSFW exchanges between "the privileged" ones heard by everyone else (even in headphones, yes), it's all everyday reality of the "Meth(odic) experience". Did I mention the data centre? It's pretty loud despite all the RGB illumination in it.

Inconvénients

* Sometimes the drinking needs to start earlier * Need more desk space * You need to go outside to get some fresh air because there's no external windows in the office
