Inconvénients
Extremely dissatisfied with this company. I worked as a physician advisor for several months and found the environment to be highly unprofessional and discouraging. Leadership was particularly problematic. Clinical case reviews were handled inconsistently, with pressure to classify straightforward conditions—such as uncomplicated UTIs—as inpatient admissions. When these determinations were denied, blame was placed on the advisor rather than on the flawed review process itself.
The role was marked by excessive micromanagement and a lack of respect for physician judgment. Expectations focused disproportionately on formatting details—such as punctuation and grammar—rather than on clinical reasoning or appropriate utilization review. Physicians were treated in a condescending manner rather than as experienced professionals.
Overall, this was a frustrating and demoralizing workplace with unrealistic expectations, poor leadership support, and a culture that did not value clinical expertise. I would strongly caution physicians to carefully consider this before accepting a position with this company.
