Avantages

MathWorks is a good company that pays fairly and has lots of good benefits. It's very successful, and can be a fun place.

Inconvénients

Rather than help poor performers improve, they just fire people ruthlessly. You really have to drink the Koolaid. It's hard to get promoted. All of this is especially true in the Doc Group. There are some good managers, but most are fresh out of a remake of "Mean Girls." You can learn to be a good writer here, but if you want to have fulfilling tech writing work, go elsewhere.

Avantages

The company places a strong emphasis on continuous learning and professional growth, with clear encouragement for employees to develop their skills over time. There are frequent, fun company events that help build connections across teams and contribute to a genuinely friendly and collaborative culture. Overall, the organization takes a very staff-focused approach, prioritizing employee well-being and fostering an environment where people feel supported and valued.

Inconvénients

With a globally distributed workforce, it can sometimes be challenging to coordinate schedules or connect in person with colleagues.

Strong work-life balance; reasonable hours and low burnout Smart, helpful colleagues and collaborative culture Stable company with solid products (MATLAB/Simulink) Good benefits and campus perks (food, gym, etc.)

Inconvénients

Development pace can feel slow and process-heavy May not be ideal if you’re optimizing for fast career growth, cutting-edge tech, or top-tier compensation.
