Avantages
The only pro I can think of was the healthcare. And every now and then, the owner would reward us with ice cream. We went to a movie once.
Inconvénients
The CEO hires people based on what she feels and whether you're introverted or extroverted. You're more likely to get hired if you're an introvert like her, which is bad, because you'll be put in situations that introverts do not like, such as dealing with 25+ kids at birthday parties, trying to calm down angry parents, and speaking in front of crowds. At the grand opening, the CEO walked out because she was "nervous" and left the rest of us to deal with the 100+ people that had showed up (we didn't get a break that day until the event was over.) She hired a man and then fired him before he even started because she "didn't like him," even though he had the qualifications we were looking for. If you think you're going to be doing just one thing, think again. You'll be doing everything, whether you're good at it or not. If you're an instructor, prepare to be bombarded with terrible ideas for curriculum and being forced to create lesson plans a couple of days or a week before your "camp" starts. She'll change her mind on a whim, too, and tell you to rewrite and change everything right before its about to be implimented, giving you even less time. If you run out of content, which you most likely will because you have no time to create more since you're trying to do everything else, tough. That's "your" problem and you better fix it. If you're unlucky enough, you'll be forced into a managerial, HR, and curriculum developer position without proper promotion. Yes, you are expected to do all of it. If you're a designer, get ready to be talked down to and treated like a child because the CEO thinks you don't do anything. She'll send someone in to watch you and make sure you're working. She'll tell you she has "30 years of design experience" and then show you the most childish designs. No sane designer would ever do what she's done. You'll be expected to create a flyer within an hour...but, she'll change everything on a whim and tell you to scrap your previous design. Now, this would be normal, if not for the fact that she thinks a complicated 40-inch poster can be done in a day. If you're lucky enough to get the big computer in the second VR room, your work will probably be put on hold whenever a child wants to use the VR headset, which is hooked up to that computer. Trying to work in Illustrator on a large file while running VR isn't something I recommend, no matter how "good" the computer is. The SSD on it failed once already and had to be replaced. She'll also yell at you for doing something she told you to do a couple of days ago. Its very back and forth and she cannot make up her mind on anything. The business plan changes CONSTANTLY. Are we a robotics lab? An app development studio? A studio that develops TV shows/web series? It seemed to change every single month. We were doing so much that we HAD to work overtime, but she wouldn't pay us for it. She gave us unrealistic goals and then tired our hands so that we wouldn't be able to meet them. She dangled salary increases in front of us and then told us, "I'm not going to give this to you because I want you to work for it."
