Focus shifted from rewarding employees to having the founder basically have his whole family and all their wives on payroll. We had 80% growth in one year, and our year-end bonuses were cut in half from the previous year. But the founders sons got bonuses 10x higher than the ones given to regular employees. And the sons were hired on at 2-3x the salary range of the existing employees. This killed office morale.
