Avantages

Promising industry with a very important mission... Few competitors. The senior biz leadership team communicates often and well. Pay and benefits are a bit on the low side, but OK for a startup. The company is good at sales - but can it deliver on its promises?

Inconvénients

The technology department is incapable of delivering decent software in any reasonable amount of time. It can't even maintain the existing product properly. Dubious forecasting quality, which will create problems with clients in the future, given that the company essentially sells futures / forwards contracts. Large amount of tech debt. The senior tech leadership comes from and behaves like corporate IT. Too many support personnel and bureaucracy, not enough software engineers. The team is quite junior as well. Use of poorly supervised contractors has been a problem. Higher than normal turnover in tech. Very poor communication between tech and business, to the point the biz side is quite vocal in its frustration. The product team is impotent and program management is redundant.
