Avantages
At one point LendingTree was a great launching pad for early career development. I am grateful for the years I had with the company prior to Covid. Unfortunately, since the pandemic, it has been a string of negative experiences.
Inconvénients
When I started at LendingTree there was an open and candid growth mindset. As the company emerged from the pandemic that all crumbled. There has been mass turnover in the leadership org and the CEO is to blame. LendingTree was a great place to gain exposure and build your career, a launching point if you choose to engage at that level. At the time of my departure it was a 'me first' ego-driven, boys club that had no interest in retaining talent and allowed everyone to leave without even making counter offers to top employees. The CEO has lost touch with the management culture, remains focused on a problem that is not looking to be solved (the mortgage industry) despite being positioned to have an impact in other business lines that are growing around him and surpassing Tree in the marketplace. Without sweeping changes in the executive suite and a complete rebuild of the revenue strategy and department LendingTree will continue to dissapoint employees and investors.
