ALWAYS short staffed so you never have a chance to slow down enough to not risk making mistakes. The most unfriendly coworkers I have ever encountered in my entire career! If they don’t just ignore you, they will be backstabbing you. There are a few wonderful exceptions to that though. No uniform training in new areas of work. What you learn depends on who is training you. Everyone has a slightly different take on how it’s done. The SOP are worthless, key points are completely missing. SOPs are individual word documents that for the most part are not searchable, and not necessarily indexed to area of use. A major disconnect between what is going on, needed to do the job, and management. If you try to explain to the day shift lead why you haven’t gotten something done, you may get the unprofessional behavior of actually being yelled at. Think twice before hiring on, it’s a factory mentality.
