Avantages
A lot of time off (that you can't use because they are understaffed) Pay raises (measly .40 cost of living even if you are incredible at your job) 401k (which they matched until the pandemic then cut that because they "can't afford it")
Inconvénients
No movement in the company and if you want to, people always move back down to phlebotomist because the pay isn't good for the amount of work you do. Don't buy plane tickets! Because they will either flat out ignore your request or deny it because the turnover is so high. We loose a phlebotomist in the region once a month. Then they don't like to hire. They cut our pay increase during the pandemic due to "not being able to afford it" despite being the leader in covid testing. The pay is SIGNIFICANLY lower than almost anywhere else (been here for 11 years and just now make 36k/yr before tax) They didn't provide us PPE during the first quarter of the pandemic. They over work us. Floats will be overworked the most being told to go to places hours away! In our region we SHOULD have three floats. Currently one is stuck in an office because that phlebotomist quit and the other float is being ran ragged. We lost the 3rd and there's no news of a new one being hired and that's been since March. Work here only if you absolutely have no choice.
