Massive layoffs, Lack of concern - Avis employé Associate Director LSU Foundation

In April 2020, the LSU Foundation laid off 30 percent of our team as a necessary and very difficult response to unanticipated budget pressures created by COVID-19 and a shift in fundraising strategy to drive immediate-use dollars. Like many businesses with limited revenue sources, within the pandemic environment, we’ve been forced to adjust our operations to continue being responsible stewards of our budget dollars. To address those realities, the LSU Foundation needed a leaner operational structure that our refocused budget can support. We are proud of our Tiger community for making Giving Day 2020 such a success. Those dollars were in support of academics at LSU, not in support of our operations. We are deeply committed to our team and are proud to have been recognized as one of Baton Rouge’s Best Places to Work for the past two years. We look forward to sharing more with qualified candidates who believe in the power of higher education to transform lives.
