Avantages
There are many dedicated, loyal employees and customers at Kmart. I stayed as long as I did because of the employees I had working for me. Decent benefits (401K, health, dental, vision, life insurance).
Inconvénients
There have not been pay raises in 4 years and no plans for any in the foreseeable future. You are running the store with minimal payroll in a very task-driven company. While there is a bonus program, the number of managers that make bonus at the end of the year is minimal. With the company closing stores each quarter, you tend to be on pins & needles waiting to see if your store is on the next list.
