Avantages
- Higher ups pretend to be nice BUT they are taking advantage of you with fake smiles and treat you like you are below them. - You are allowed to use your own equipment with an insurance that barely covers incidents (if it breaks (functionally), they will try to fix it first and if it cannot be fixed they then pay for the damage) - They have creative meetings weekly BUT they do not pertain to what you need (prepare to be clueless) - You get overtime (OT) once you ask for it (but OT is only over 80 hours, you only work 75 hours because you get unpaid lunch time). In the end, you technically don't get paid for OT (1.5) unless you work more then 5 hrs of "OT" a week. - They tend to hire minorities BUT it is to cheap them out & pay low wages with chicken scratch benefits
Inconvénients
- Unpaid Lunch - No PTO unless you're planning on working there for a whole year - Probation period (23$ an hour for TWO positions) after taking several design tests - Be prepared to do multiple jobs at the same time while management tries to make things easier for you but nothing ever gets set into motion - Industry terms you're familiar with? Forget about it - Shot lists? Forget about it - Moodboards that tell stories? None - Design Strategies? Practically nonexistent (they'll lead with what brands they want to copy or how they want it to look like) - Pay for half of the health insurance yourself - 0% Direction at all times - No mentorship in the design field - No company gear to actually do any video shoots (be prepared to shoot everything on a old dji osmo or use your phone) - Free lunch on shoots? Everyone gets it but the videographer, unless you're shooting at different locations - Company Parties? Nobody gets invited except the Kardashians, but they didn't show up anyways - Want a raise? Probation period is an excuse for them to underpay you and then when that's over there's your raise (my case 23$ to 25.50$ an hour, but remember you're not working a full 40 hours) - Putting your two weeks in? Get ready to pump out work like no tomorrow (you on salary? get ready to not get paid for overtime) - Get ready to be treated like trash when you leave the company because the founders talk dirty about their employees, everyone hears it
