You'll work with some of the smartest people on the planet, with an experienced C-suite who have built companies before. The problems we work on are very hard, and we have a real opportunity to make an impact in the robotics space. Alphabet (Google) benefits allow you to get the experience working at a startup, without the same risk of a traditional startup. The people are special, they care, they are supportive, and they invest. My personal career has flourished since joining.
Inconvénients
Intrinsic is an interesting company where it has one foot in startup land, one foot in big tech land. Some initiatives are very frustrating due to the bureaucracy and Google rules. There's been a lot of changes to the business as well- across product, customer, and strategic roadmaps. I expect this will settle, but this might not be the best environment for everyone. Intrinsic has acquired a few companies (Vicarious, OSRF) so the culture is still coming together, what is there works.
