      Avantages

      Working from home is always a pro! Call volume is lower, and you are not subject to VRS FCC standards.

      Inconvénients

      Extremely below market rate for certified ASL interpreters. The pay is ~$26/hr even if you hold speciality certifications. Also, if you choose to take on-site jobs for the company it is at that same pay level, not the local rates (which are often 2-4x more!).

      Avantages

      This company is truly committed to providing the best service possible through video and onsite interpretations. Additionally, they treat all of their workers with respect and understanding of needs for life/work balance. Everyone from my fellow interpreters to management, HR, and the CEO are available to reach out to and help you continue to grow and thrive as a professional.

      Inconvénients

      Some frustration with video quality which is not necessarily the fault of Interpretek, but can be frustrating for clients and interpreters with limited controls for those situations.
