Avantages
The overall company culture was unmatched. The work was exciting and majority of the employees are very hard working, intelligent and team players. You will gain a significant amount of experience due to the services InterWorks provides, and can transition into a higher paying job next. If you are living in Oklahoma, InterWorks is one of the best tech companies you can work for. The exposure into the world of data is amazing.
Inconvénients
A small percentage of employees were arrogant, micromanaging and untouchable (due to being best friends with the CEO). Remote employees have more freedom and are trusted to get their work done vs. being watched in an office by their direct manager. The BI sales team in general is significantly underpaid compared to the IT sales team and partner sales teams. You're expected to support customers in a wide range of solutions, act as a secretary to the Practice or Solutions Lead, and bring in revenue that you are not compensated for. No commission (unless you sell one specific SaaS product) or quota for BI sales. Expect to be overworked, babysit technical counterparts on deals and projects, and not valued by the vast majority of the business. If you are an engineer or technical consultant, you will have a much better experience, but will still be underpaid compared to the rest of the market you live in. DEI initiatives are non-existent even with the CEO being a minority.
