Avantages

The main reason I really enjoy being a part of InterWorks is because people there are genuinely interested in your personal and professional development. InterWorks has no problem investing in you attending conferences, taking classes, and getting you in touch with other members of the team that will be more than happy to help you. It can be a little daunting when you first get here, because everyone is very talented. That being said, they are almost all very ready to help whenever given a chance. You also have the chance to work at really great clients, and even though you might not see many of your coworkers across the country, you'll quickly grow to be close with them.

Inconvénients

The benefits have room for improvement. You start off with 0 PTO and pick up one day a month through your first year. You get more days in PTO on your work anniversary, but the amount is far behind large consulting firms like Deloitte where you are given between 20-30 days of PTO on your first day. Like many tech related firms, diversity is lacking from both an ethnic and gender standpoint, though there isn't much of a boys club mentality. Pay is good, but at least in the Bay Area, it is not hard to find opportunities with higher compensation. Unless you're in NY, SF or Portland (3 locations with lots of clients), expect to travel quite a bit.

Avantages

- working with the latest tools and exploring new solutions instead of maintaining old systems - solid team support so you aren't stuck on an island when things get weird - seeing how different companies operate which builds experience much faster - company support for learning and getting new certifications - getting exposure to different industries and challenging problem sets

Inconvénients

- juggling 3+ calendars and tracking every hour is a tedious chore - shifting gears between different client projects all day can get mentally exhausting
