I had one of my managers literally say "I don't want you to burn out until the next project comes, then give it your all". Leadership makes quick reactionary decisions, managers try to roadmap for the year but there is a re-org every 3 months, deadlines are set without engineers in the room which leads to a lot of friction. Every 3-4months, subject matter experts are either fired or quit leading a lot of knowledge loss. Newly onboarded engineers don't understand the nuances and decisions that lead us here, which inevitably leads them to add to the tech debt.
If you truly value your sanity, life outside of work, and a non-toxic work environment then DON'T WORK HERE.
