IT Direct took a chance in hiring me. They banked on my experience despite me coming from outside of a MSP space. Since I have started working here I have met some of the hardest working people who would be willing to do almost anything for the client, and even more to help a member of the team. Other Perks -Flexible WFH scheduling - People are able to take care of their family with flexible hours and unlimited PTO if needed -Fair compensation with an achievable bonus - I am not a level 1 Technician but I feel I get compensated for my hard work. -Team Building Events - This isn't mandatory fun time... There are lots of opportunities to have fun. In my short time here I have been involved in several fun activities both during and after work hours. -Did I mention unlimited PTO? - As someone who has never been able to reliably take PTO in previous jobs this system rocks. Ask for it, nobody is secretly checking and counting days against you. -Internal advancement- Lots of team members start at the bottom and work their way up to some excellent positions. - 1 on 1 mentorship with your supervisor - They take this seriously. The ITD team understands that mentorship is a key to growing and improving. They believe in it so much that everyone gets time with their supervisor on a regular basis. If you truly do live by the code of Work Hard, Play Hard then this is the team to join.
Inconvénients
As an MSP the work truly never stops. If you are the kind of person who needs to finish everything before leaving, expect to never leave. On the other hand, I have never been forced to work overtime, or to deal with something after hours. That stuff certainly happens, but in my role, it is my choice to be available to assist when able. It is true, IT Direct recently lost some key team members throughout the late spring / early summer. They were all great people and I wish they could have stayed, but some of their reviews were simply not a fair assessment of what this team and culture climate really look like. I have never been part of a team that really does CARE and tries its best to take feedback from every member of the team.
