      Avantages

      Great mission covering pivotal topics on international development and cooperation; colleagues (mostly the ones staying for a short time) with great experience and knowledge

      Inconvénients

      Terrible management style. I would not recommend at all working at this organisation given its toxic working environment based on favouritism, managers/senior managers interested in maintaining the status quo to the detriment of younger colleagues, and rambling talks about initiatives that will never be implemented. Hours are spent talking about nothing due to lack of management expertise and interest, and there are no concrete growing opportunities despite the sugar coated promises. Do yourself a favour and look elsewhere.

      Avantages

      Love the mission and mandate of the organization. Overall brilliant and wonderful people are attracted to the organization but the nepotism, and lack of good senior management team undermines the potential of the organization.

      Inconvénients

      Toxic work environment where mediocre individuals continue to soar. Lack of follow up with HR protocols (particularly on ethical and performance issues). Lack of transparency in hiring and structural processes, particularly in field offices. Large disconnect between HQ and field offices. Most people I knew at the organization were treated poorly, with little respect for the time and energy and resources given and brought to the organization. People move on quickly here - high turnover due to toxic environment and lack of investment in its people at all levels.
