Inconvénients

This is not top-notch training! You get three weeks after onboarding, no side-jacking then you're thrown on the phones. Sups will breathe down your neck to get out of ACW because they have to meet service levels and you won't have any other training unless it's provided from the carrier. Your leaders all come from TTEC - with minimal supervisory experience -and they'll promote their own before anyone else. I didn't find them very supportive at all and the only resources available to me were due to my own research. It's inexplicable the nature of the business that agents have zero experience with SEPs and would rather refer a good lead to Medicare than uncover one. Aetna has a contractual agreement to have so many cheeks in the seat, so you can expect to sit for up to 40 hours a week in a campaign and get zero calls. You get no opportunity to hone your skills and no opportunity to make additional incentive unless you are a favored employee. If you ask many of the tenored agents, you'd know this is one of the top reasons for leaving. In addition, they pay the least hourly wage and incentive in the tri-county area at $17.16 an hour and a ridiculous commission of $10 per enrollment/$5 if you are able to do a plan change. If you don't convert, they constantly "threaten" you they'll throw you on welcome calls after AEP - that's the best they can do to motivate you is to make it appear they've demoted you. The agents that are submitting non-compliant enrollments are untouchable. They're still making their numbers even if the plan doesn't stick so they get preferential treatment. They don't value you as a person - even if you give two week notice, your employment ends the day you submit your resignation letter. There's no way to "steal" your book of business so that's simply ridiculous. If you choose to leave, exhaust your PTO because they won't pay out accrued time. You should also know that it doesn't matter how far in advance you put in your vacation or appointment request, you will not see any approval (or denial!) until the day before you expect to be off. It's interesting there are WAH positions now because they were putting on the pressure to return to the office even when there was a spike in COVID-19. The site manager and team leaders sit in staff meetings every single day for hours at a time and are unavailable to the agents. What could they possibly be talking about every day? You may be assigned to a new team or a new manager and literally be between teams with noone speaking to you for weeks at a time. We've concluded it's just a tactic to get us to quit because they have nothing else on us. I'm here to tell you my license is my livelihood. No allegation former against me shall prosper. Ageism is alive and well.

Avantages

There is no pros the companies is clearly going out of business

Inconvénients

This is a captive company, once you're in, you're license is trapped and you can't leave or they won't allow you to sell for 180 days. This company recently terminated over 600 people with a bogus reason on why they did it. They also terminated supervisors and many people in leadership left on their own. So many top performers and compliant people were terminated and they had no real reason on why they let everyone go. Everyone was confused. It was a lie. They promised to pay the bonuses that we all made during AEP. I and many others never received our AEP bonuses. They made sure they let all of us go before we were paid out the money they owed us. Now they are ignoring our emails and calls. Several of us are speaking to an attorney to do a class action lawsuit. Not paying us and promised and some are saying the many times they had us completing things while off the clock. Due to them doing a mass termination out the blue and not paid our money it has put so many of us through so many financial struggles, pain, and suffering. Our lawsuit along with so many stories against that company will make them pay us what we are owed and more. We will NOT be ignored!!!
