1. Low ratings on compensation & benefits Employees in the Frisco region rate HCL’s pay and benefits poorly. On Glassdoor the Frisco location gets ~2.6/5 stars, with compensation & benefits averaging around 2.6/5.  “They know it. There are comparable positions that pay considerably higher.”  So, the pay may be less competitive relative to comparable tech jobs in the area. 2. Unclear career advancement / slow growth Reviews indicate that moving up or changing projects can be difficult. Many mention being stuck in one role or being on “bench” (i.e., waiting for assignment) with training videos rather than meaningful work.  It may especially affect early-career professionals or those hoping for rapid advancement. 3. Management and organizational issues Complaints include lack of direction from managers, disorganized processes, and micro-management of support teams. For example: “It is very un-organized and the processes in place are not efficient.”  This suggests that some teams may function less smoothly than others, which can impact your day-to-day experience. 4. High risk of outsourcing / job insecurity concerns Some reviews in Frisco mention fear of roles being moved offshore, or “bill-and-move” arrangements where US-based roles are phased out.  If job stability is important (which often is), this is a risk to factor in. 5. Work may become repetitive or limited in scope Because of heavy dependency on outsourced models and bench time, some workers report limited opportunities to build deep or diverse skills. One review: “If you are not in the US Cloud Teams … there is no direction for you and your managers will hardly speak to you … If you are on the bench you are expected to do training videos all day.”  For someone like you who might value growth and skill-building, this could be a drawback.

Where do I even begin.... HCl is a company that will overwork and underpay you and never give you a raise. I was lucky to get a very competitive wage when I started that I felt like I deserved and I fought for that. However even that process they bait and switched 3 times offering higher amounts over the phone and then going back on their word and offering less and less each time until they finally sent me an offer letter. The entire company is inept at communication at any and all levels. You will never get a raise and any time you have any kind of issue or need management/HR to do anything for you results in being ignored. Additionally they will add and add to your roles and responsibilities and ask for the impossible and unreasonable. They get contracts by underbidding other MSP's and then hiring as few people on site as possible and refer the rest of the work to overseas workers that will never do any work and always kick responsibility back to you. If you ever get lucky and they are forced to actually do their job they show that they clearly have no idea what they are doing or talking about. All around a terrible company to work for. If your job role is getting outsourced to HCL, fight for a good salary up front because they will never give you a raise and try to look for another place to work as soon as you can.
