Avantages

You get to work in a upbeat environment Free fitness classes Make great relationships with the members You work in fitness

Inconvénients

The leadership based in Cali seemed to be nonexistent. And the person in charge of the studios had no idea how to run a gym. The culture was “either you’re with us or leave” and they made it hard to be with them when they’re making so many mistakes. Delayed gym openings, poor communication, unrealistic sales numbers, etc. I don’t get how the team could mess up such an amazing opportunity to partner with Nike so bad. What frustrated me the most is that they never seemed to visit the Austin gyms, even when their top gym was in Austin. I came here because I wanted to learn how to run a gym, but I ended up learning how not to run a gym.

The energy at this gym is wonderfully motivating and inclusive. The team supports each other like family, and the owner genuinely cares about employees and members.

Inconvénients

Personal training is a grind to pay depends on client consistency (normal in the industry)

Avantages

pleasant environment (pretty fitness studio.) healthy work-life balance fostered.

Inconvénients

Poor communication from upper management; I was unaware of current sales strategies or upcoming events more than a few days in advance, as a sales specialist. I was fired for no reason over text. I got no email or official termination; I was ghosted. I was mortified. Culture at "Nike Studios" (owned by Fitlab) was ableist, condescending, and aggressive.
