Great place - Avis employé OTR Truck Driver FirstFleet

FirstFleet is a huge company that feels very small. Everybody in corporate is accessible. I have only been here a couple of years and I already know most of the top management by name. Any time I give feedback to my direct supervisor or upper management, it is always taken seriously and I have seen changes that I have recommended implemented. The company allows me the freedom to make decisions that I feel need to be made without unnecessary scrutiny. Its not a micro-management environment.

Advancing often (though not always) requires relocation.

Decent pay and benefits, good vacation payouts

They care more about customers than their employees. If the company they’re hauling for doesn’t like an employee, they will side with the customer. Can’t keep a manager in the office but won’t promote office staff to management. Don’t understand employment and FMLA laws and will wrongfully terminate employees
