Avantages
PROs: A good platform to get introduced to IT world. You would get exposed to various industry jargons and also (if lucky) end up in a good project. Work pressure is negligible compared to other product based companies. And if you are good with your manager (i call this boot licking) then its a cake walk up the corporate ladder. You need not worry about changing technologies if you know excel. They say TCS is cross functional organization. It basically means, even if you dont know anything we will set you up somewhere with payroll(seriously) Very good health insurance policy. Especially if you enroll your parents too. I am struggling to think pros at this point but let me add one more. Onsite opportunities, if you are ready to commit your 7–8 long years with very very less salary. I have seen people sticking to TCS without quitting even though they had good offers because of onsite (halwa).
Inconvénients
This list is going to be really big. First and foremost, you would come across bunch of frustrated people taking out their anger (which is a result of life choices they made in past) on you. They are RMGs, they will not listen to what domain are you from and will map you to any project they get their eye on.
