Avantages
Pay is okay for those in school with minimal bills. Get to meet new people. Cookout once in a blue moon if no one gets hurt. But even then management will find a way to try and not have one
Inconvénients
Ops Management could care less about you. Sort managers are only concerned with numbers. New Hire training is a joke. They do the bare minimum in training then expect you to know everything. I work upstairs as a floater so i get to see everything they comes up the belts including packages too wide to fit through the scan tunnel, hazmats, smalls bags, boxes with metal sticking out, boxes with wooden pallets, boxes that are too tall. All in all, If it fits in a trailer expect it to be sent up. The same people send the same stuff up day after day.Pay is not enough for the grueling work that needs to be done. High turnover rate. If management doesn't like you don't expect to be promoted. Sort manager wanted me to be an ops manager. Told him no. He completely stopped talking to me after that. Don't expect to get rewarded for hard work. That doesn't exist in Fedex ground
