Low end of month salary; scheduling mistakes ; lack of consideration for employees' time. You are asked to wait 30 minutes unpaid, morning and afternoon. A total of 1 hour everyday of you not being able to do anything with your personal time, because you have to dedicate that 1h to them , but they do not pay you for that time .Also, you are told that you cannot schedule something else for the times they told you you would have no student. Mind you that time is unpaid . You have to wait on your phone in case they send you a last minute email and end up giving you a student. If they do not give you a student, your day goes to waist because you do not have the right to schedule another job or anything else for that time. But one thing is sure is that you still do not get paid even a percentage for the hours you had to wait around, while the school still gets paid . It is quite strange, but I guess every workplace has its quirk . This quirk however seems to cause a high employee turnover rate, because it makes it hard to make ends meet as you are not allowed to schedule a side job (unless your side job is something around your house that you can schedule last minute and cancel last minute) for those time (two sessions : each session is 3 hours ) when they might or might not give you work to do. Most teachers talk in matters of a month/ a few months when talking about how long they’ve worked there.
