Avantages
Paid well for base salary, fun atmosphere, had plenty of EDA software to get the job done, and had the west coast "vibe." Free snacks. Great medical coverage. Diversity was fantastic. Both of the main sites looked like great candidates for creating diversity posters.
Inconvénients
As with any startup, in a bad economy, VC's can mandate huge headcount reductions and swift changes in direction. No 401k matching. RSU's are only worth anything if exercised at the right time and company is going up in value. Too much money spent on getting groups, in Austin and Mountain View, physically together at least monthly.
