Avantages
My time at ECS was great until the last 18 months—I was there nearly nine years. During that time, I grew my career and earned a seat at the table. I worked for and with some of the finest people doing interesting work. I was well compensated, and management made it clear that I was valued.
Inconvénients
ECS's business lives and dies with government contracts. You should be prepared for rapid business expansion and contraction—it's the nature of the industry. Management lost its sense of direction around 2022. The business strategies changed, and that elusive thing that made it a great workplace was lost. The transition was painful. I wish I had left sooner, on a high note. - Communication is poor and uneven. For example, I was moved under a different manager without being told. I had to puzzle it out for myself. - Benefits aren't great. For example, it takes too many years to be elevated to the next level of PTO, and insurance is expensive. - Veterans are preferred.
