Avantages

- Amazing marketing team, but don't be fooled by it - Short timeline to get a promotion - Great people Analyst - Consultant grade (really smart, high bar for delivery) ○ Mixed bag at Manager level, some are amazing and some are incredibly lazy and push all their work off to lower grades - Opportunities to take leadership roles on (as an Analyst) very soon after starting, leading to great visibility and experience early in your career - Outside of COVID, awesome opportunities to travel especially given the global nature of the firm.

Inconvénients

- Very apparent lack of D&I and overall empathy for employees ○ Lack of POC (and often tokenized when POC are hired), women in high positions (only 2 Consulting Principals are women), and little to no LGBTQ+ representation ○ Hiring a few token roles does NOT mean you are appropriately educating your employees or respecting POC; there are either a few or NO representatives from the Black and Latino / Hispanic communities - Toxic culture created by favoritism, unqualified / young people in Manager and grades above, and poor management at Partner and C-suite level - Elixirr markets a culture of innovation - you'll be lucky to work on anything innovative. It's a lot of PMO, TOM, the usual consulting work and rarely anything "innovative" - "Lean" style of working which really means you are doing a lot of work for below market pay (not surprising for consulting, but it would be nice to be paid for the expectation and standard bar) - CEO wants the entire firm to be managed around the UK team. This means there is little respect for time zones, cultural differences, etc. and creates an imbalance for those who are far from their colleagues geographically vs. those who go into the (ONLY) office to learn from others, get facetime with Partners, etc. - They're very cheap and provide minimal support beyond the basic. For example, when COVID kicked off many companies helped their employees get setup at home with a desk, monitors, an ergonomic chair, etc. Elixirr did not offer at home support except for a on a case-by-case basis (re: favoritism) - Lots of fear mongering, you can see this from the posts stating that most positive posts are forced. This is absolutely true, there are often conversations where Partners ask to have Glassdoor remove negative posts, which speaks to a larger problem. People are scared into not speaking up, not asking for support, and not providing less than positive feedback for fear of backlash on their opportunity to get a bonus, get promoted, etc.

We have fortnightly OpenDoor sessions where members of our team host a Video Session on a Friday afternoon to answer any questions you might have. Look out for these being promoted on our company Linkedin page.

Avantages

Nice and helpful office management, free snacks.

Inconvénients

Main focus on London employees, actively undercuts US labor market with the cheaper UK resources while selling US resources to clients. Unfocused leadership, executes inorganic growth, and puts no effort into integrating companies. For example, acquisition from 2 years ago still use legacy email. Solely focused on stock price, not people or performance, anytime you talk to a leader they’re actively watching or thinking about the stock price, not performance. People are a revolving door, just look at how many Glassdoor reviews there are for such a small company. Highly recommend avoiding if you are an experienced hire. They will make no effort to teach you their mysterious “Elixirr” way and will quickly cut you, made worse by US based senior managers who are good consultants but have no desire to help growth. Hearsay and gossip are rampant, many things I was told without asking turned out to not be true. Haven’t seen this level since high school. Partners struggle to identify project risk and are too slow to take action to salvage client, resulting in lost work.
