Avantages

* You create your own work schedule, which can be very flexible for people with kids, or are enrolled in school * Don't have to deal with office politics, annoying coworkers or phones * It's not as bad as people think! Just start with the basics and build on that.. most students pick it up very quickly * Office Management has always been very nice, easy to deal with * Get to drive into nice neighborhoods, meet new people all the time

Inconvénients

* Your schedule is created a month before. So if it's October 1, you set the days you want to work for the month of November. It can be tricky knowing that far ahead what days you'll be free * Training to get job took about 6 weeks, people that want a job right away might not be able to swing this. * There is a slight danger factor as you're teaching teenagers to drive * Raises are only given every 3 years (when license is up for renewal) * Being in the car for a long time can be rough on your body, no bathroom, can't always get up and stretch.

Avantages

Flexible schedule! You set what days and times you want to work and if there's students available, they'll be added to your schedule. Should be willing to work afternoons/evenings or weekends when teens are out of school. The students are nice and teaching a beginner to drive can be a rewarding experience. Good job for an independent person who wants to make some extra money.

Inconvénients

There's a lot to learn quickly and the management can be very patronizing in correcting your inevitable errors. Don't expect any pats-on-the-back or positive feedback from superior(s) based out of Canyon Lake, CA. Would not recommend this as a full-time job. Sitting in a car all day can be taxing and honestly a bit lonely and boring as your only company are your 15-year-old students. There's not much potential for personal or professional growth.
