Avantages

D2D is simply an amazing company overall and they’re continuously growing.

Inconvénients

There needs to be more consistency in the customer support department. Not everyone, especially management, is on the same page with a lot of things that should be fairly simple to streamline which makes it difficult for the rest of the support team to do their job efficiently which then leads to customer complaints.

Everyone has a voice and contributes to the company's success. Great leadership team. No drama. Everyone is respected. Flexible schedules.

Inconvénients

Publishing doesn't pay as highly as other industries, like tech, but you'll have work-life balance and that is priceless.

Avantages

Working at Draft2Digital you will likely get tons of independence. You don't have to jump through bureaucratic hoops or fight with IT. The product is very cool and really improves the lives of indie authors. The salary is good (though benefits are only ok). They do have some fun company activities occasionally.

Inconvénients

The culture at Draft2Digital is toxic, at least for web developers. The CEO regularly and publicly in meetings, mocks Javascript and Javascript developers. The workload is demanding, bordering on unreasonable. Communication is minimal or totally absent. If you do work that management has a problem with, you will not be told about it, but it will be held against you. There is essentially no understanding of the iterative process of UI development, and if you do not regularly submit large commits to the repository, you will be accused of not working.
