Avantages

This review applies to working for DocGo's subsidiary, Ambulnz. Flexible hours, meaningful work, better pay than some agencies. Unlimited overtime.

Inconvénients

DocGo is notorious for promising bonuses and periodic raises and never giving them. When I came on, they had neglected to give their existing EMT's raises, so new hires with no experience were making more than them. Their HR department ignores emails and complaints. Dispatchers regularly text and call you to cover shifts because they're so desperate for workers. Despite this, they give no raises, even after a year at the company, with no reasons given, despite having promised raises after 6 months at orientation. So, it starts to feel like a dead-end job real fast, which is why they're short-staffed. And they make plenty of money, so that's not the issue. Worst of all, you'll have to hunt them down to get the signing and referral bonuses they promised you--and even then, you probably won't get them, even if you met all the conditions. If you're recruited, make sure you get everything they promise you in writing upon hiring, and pray. If you're passionate about the work you do, just know that at this company you'll be treated exactly the same as someone who phones it in. They don't know, and even when they do, they don't really care. If you're here to gain clinical experience, don't expect to meet anyone who cares enough about you to write you a letter of recommendation. And the clinical experience you gain will be much more limited than you'll get in 911, and dependent upon your work ethic.

Inconvénients

As a former employee I would advise against working for this company after becoming unionized Management began withholding proper equipment such as reserving trucks with power loaders/ powered stair chairs for day shift crews despite operational need elsewhere having multiple bariatric pts a night that require such equipment. The company is chronically understaffed, shows blatant favoritism toward certain employees, and distributes calls unfairly. Some workers will sit idle in one spot for hours doing little to nothing while others are sent all over nonstop having multiple calls back to back with barely any time to rest. Poor staffing decisions, lack of support, and constant mismanagement have created a toxic work environment across the board. You will be run into the ground and expected not to question it. The company refuses to address these issues or hire enough staff, and conditions are only going to get worse.
