But the training is invaluable in itself and should enable you to get freelance work elsewhere. I have friends who have paid several hundred dollars to learn the same things, without the hands on experience. Also you get a press pass when you're working there which is a huge advantage, since it means you don't have to queue or pay to gte into ehhibitions, concerts operas etc. I freelanced for them whist I was working on my novel and with two small preschool children.

It is quite difficult, if you do an online internhsip to have the self discipline to do the hours you commit to. My partner was doing an internship at the same time as I, but the second time he missed his deadline, he got fired.
