Avantages

Brilliant work comes out of DP for a reason. It has many talented individuals across all disciplines. Yes, there is free lunch on Fridays. If you are a designer, strategist, experience expert or business developer you will gain butt loads of great experience because the company is so small.

Inconvénients

I worked at DP for years and contributed in every aspect of every client business and can honestly say that the company is a cult of personality. All accomplishments, innovations and client relations are attributed to the senior-most team members. Management is not interested in developing talent, only in talent supporting the "genius" of partners. That is a shame because they do this at the expense of building a legacy group. Prior to the arrival of mid-level management there was free flowing style and less political maneuvering.

Avantages

DP has overcome growing pains in the last few years. It went from being a small agency fighting to win projects to a small agency with new business coming out of its ears. It was challenging to keep up with the work load while the agency evolved. A lot of folks stuck around because we love this crazy place and management has since added a lot of really smart people who share our passion for making this a great place to work. The in-house technology team almost tripled in size and our final product is even more robust and polished. These folks are approachable and love a challenge. The design team doubled and it's still growing. There are designers at every level who are doing beautiful work and helping each other out. All the project managers are senior level. They each march to their own drum so every project is run a little bit differently but they do a good job making sure everyone enjoys a work/life balance. Senior management is very hands-on. They recognize hard work and reward it generously.

Inconvénients

- Some bread-and-butter projects aren't very exciting - Health insurance is expensive (but this is offset by bonuses and standardized raises) - Open office space isn't for everyone
