Avantages
- People - best benefits I've had - dogs in the office - monthly meals - company parties - quarterly bonuses - Almost all engineering managers, including project and product managers appear to have strong technical backgrounds. I feel they truly understand what we need, why we do things, and how long things can take. I really, REALLY appreciate that in an engineering department. - I feel like I can learn a lot from most engineers here, and they're happy to take the time to explain things in depth, even if it's way over my head.
Inconvénients
- PTO and sick time are combined, you get a fair bit but it seems to me people have felt pressured to come in when they're sick to save their PTO for time off. - Takes a lot to get let go here, while that's comforting for job security, unfortunately there's some people who have gotten away with saying and doing things that wouldn't fly elsewhere. - Some people have roles where they could work from home nearly full time, but on some teams, in office work is strongly encouraged. If you prefer WFH I would ask about it in your interview with the team specifically.
